Pet Stains

Uh-oh!!!! Someone had an accident.

Everybody loves their animals like they are family, because lets face it, they are part of our families.  They bring us joy when we need it, but also bring us some headache when we don’t need it.  For example, Buster the family dog, has an accident on the living room carpet.  Its not ideal but its ok.  There’s a few easy steps that can remedy this problem.

The first thing that you do is soak the stain in vinegar.  Then you will need to add a small amount of baking soda.  It is important that you do these steps in the right order.  Otherwise you will have a noisy bubbling mess.  You are going to need to let this sit for about a day.  We recommend covering the stain with a bowl so you don’t have backing soda tracked all through your house.  Once the stain has sat for about a day, you can clean up the baking soda and blot out any left over vinegar.

The key here is that the vinegar breaks down the stain and allows the baking soda to absorb the offending pet stain.  You will notice that, if this process is done correctly, the baking soda will be a somewhat different color from when you started.  This process should help you take care of the surface of the carpet, but could still lead to damage underneath your carpet.  That’s where Carolina SteamPro can help.  The professional equipment and techniques that Carolina Steampro employs will have your carpet good as new in no time at all.
